Update previous version
The previous version should not be uninstalled, but should be overwritten by the new one. This way you will not lose your bookmarks and settings.

On Mac OS X you should install Java Runtime Environment first!
Install: open the dmg file, copy the content to the Application folder, then you can run the Bible program from 'Applications' folder. When you first open the app you will get a warning: open Security & Privacy pane of MacOS System Preferences, enable 'running apps from unidentified developers' then you can enable the first run from here as well.
